1.1“Nāhaṁ, bhikkhave, aññaṁ ekadhammampi samanupassāmi yaṁ evaṁ abhāvitaṁ akammaniyaṁ hoti yathayidaṁ, bhikkhave, cittaṁ.

"I do not see, bhikkhus, any other single dhamma that is so unworkable when undeveloped [abhāvitaṁ] as this: the mind [citta], bhikkhus.

1.2Cittaṁ, bhikkhave, abhāvitaṁ akammaniyaṁ hotī”ti.

The mind [citta], bhikkhus, when undeveloped [abhāvitaṁ], is unworkable."

"I do not see, bhikkhus, any other single dhamma that is so workable when developed [bhāvitaṁ] as this: the mind [citta], bhikkhus.

1.2Cittaṁ, bhikkhave, bhāvitaṁ kammaniyaṁ hotī”ti.

The mind [citta], bhikkhus, when developed [bhāvitaṁ], is workable."
