18. The Fifth Chapter
1.1“Etadaggaṁ, bhikkhave, mama sāvikānaṁ bhikkhunīnaṁ rattaññūnaṁ yadidaṁ mahāpajāpatigotamī.
"This is the foremost, bhikkhus, among my bhikkhuni disciples in terms of long standing — namely, Mahāpajāpatigotamī.
1.1… Mahāpaññānaṁ yadidaṁ khemā.
… Among those of great discernment [paññā] — namely, Khemā.
1.1… Iddhimantīnaṁ yadidaṁ uppalavaṇṇā.
… Among those with supernormal powers — namely, Uppalavaṇṇā.
1.1… Vinayadharānaṁ yadidaṁ paṭācārā.
… Among those who hold the vinaya — namely, Paṭācārā.
1.1… Dhammakathikānaṁ yadidaṁ dhammadinnā.
… Among dhamma speakers — namely, Dhammadinnā.
1.1… Jhāyīnaṁ yadidaṁ nandā.
… Among meditators — namely, Nandā.
1.1… Āraddhavīriyānaṁ yadidaṁ soṇā.
… Among those with aroused energy — namely, Soṇā.
1.1… Dibbacakkhukānaṁ yadidaṁ bakulā.
… Among those with the divine eye — namely, Bakulā.
1.1… Khippābhiññānaṁ yadidaṁ bhaddā kuṇḍalakesā.
… Among those with swift direct knowledge — namely, Bhaddā Kuṇḍalakesā.
1.1… Pubbenivāsaṁ anussarantīnaṁ yadidaṁ bhaddā kāpilānī.
… Among those who recollect past lives — namely, Bhaddā Kāpilānī.
1.1… Mahābhiññāpattānaṁ yadidaṁ bhaddakaccānā.
… Among those who have attained great direct knowledge — namely, Bhaddakaccānā.
1.1… Lūkhacīvaradharānaṁ yadidaṁ kisāgotamī.
… Among those who wear coarse robes — namely, Kisāgotamī.
1.1… Saddhādhimuttānaṁ yadidaṁ siṅgālakamātā”ti.
