1.1“Aṭṭhānametaṁ, bhikkhave, anavakāso yaṁ diṭṭhisampanno puggalo kañci saṅkhāraṁ niccato upagaccheyya. Netaṁ ṭhānaṁ vijjati.
"It is impossible, bhikkhus, there is no occasion for a person accomplished in right view to regard any saṅkhāra as permanent. This case does not exist.
1.2Ṭhānañca kho etaṁ, bhikkhave, vijjati yaṁ puthujjano kañci saṅkhāraṁ niccato upagaccheyya. Ṭhānametaṁ vijjatī”ti.
But it is possible, bhikkhus, for an ordinary person to regard any saṅkhāra as permanent. This case does exist."

But it is possible, bhikkhus, for an ordinary person to deprive their mother of life. This case does exist."

But it is possible, bhikkhus, for an ordinary person to deprive their father of life. This case does exist."

But it is possible, bhikkhus, for an ordinary person to deprive an arahant of life. This case does exist."

"It is impossible, bhikkhus, there is no occasion for a person accomplished in right view, with a corrupted mind [citta], to draw blood from the Tathāgata. This case does not exist.
1.2Ṭhānañca kho etaṁ, bhikkhave, vijjati yaṁ puthujjano tathāgatassa paduṭṭhacitto lohitaṁ uppādeyya. Ṭhānametaṁ vijjatī”ti.
But it is possible, bhikkhus, for an ordinary person, with a corrupted mind [citta], to draw blood from the Tathāgata. This case does exist."

But it is possible, bhikkhus, for an ordinary person to split the Saṅgha. This case does exist."

"It is impossible, bhikkhus, there is no occasion for a person accomplished in right view to declare allegiance to another teacher. This case does not exist.
1.2Ṭhānañca kho etaṁ, bhikkhave, vijjati yaṁ puthujjano aññaṁ satthāraṁ uddiseyya. Ṭhānametaṁ vijjatī”ti.
But it is possible, bhikkhus, for an ordinary person to declare allegiance to another teacher. This case does exist."

1.1“Aṭṭhānametaṁ, bhikkhave, anavakāso yaṁ ekissā lokadhātuyā dve arahanto sammāsambuddhā apubbaṁ acarimaṁ uppajjeyyuṁ. Netaṁ ṭhānaṁ vijjati.
"It is impossible, bhikkhus, there is no occasion for two arahants who are perfectly enlightened ones to arise simultaneously — neither before nor after — in a single world-system. This case does not exist.
1.2Ṭhānañca kho etaṁ, bhikkhave, vijjati yaṁ ekissā lokadhātuyā ekova arahaṁ sammāsambuddho uppajjeyya. Ṭhānametaṁ vijjatī”ti.
But it is possible, bhikkhus, for just one arahant who is a perfectly enlightened one to arise in a single world-system. This case does exist."
