1.1“Aṭṭhānametaṁ, bhikkhave, anavakāso yaṁ kāyasucaritassa aniṭṭho akanto amanāpo vipāko nibbatteyya. Netaṁ ṭhānaṁ vijjati.
"It is impossible, bhikkhus, there is no occasion for good bodily conduct to produce a result that is unwished for, disagreeable, and displeasing. That case does not exist.
1.2Ṭhānañca kho etaṁ, bhikkhave, vijjati yaṁ kāyasucaritassa iṭṭho kanto manāpo vipāko nibbatteyya. Ṭhānametaṁ vijjatī”ti.
But this case does exist, bhikkhus: that good bodily conduct would produce a result that is wished for, agreeable, and pleasing. That case does exist."
