1.1“Yassa kassaci, bhikkhave, mahāsamuddo cetasā phuṭo antogadhā tassa kunnadiyo yā kāci samuddaṅgamā;
"For whoever, bhikkhus, has the great ocean pervaded by mind [citta], all the lesser streams that flow into the ocean are contained within it;
1.2evamevaṁ, bhikkhave, yassa kassaci kāyagatā sati bhāvitā bahulīkatā antogadhā tassa kusalā dhammā ye keci vijjābhāgiyā”ti.
so too, bhikkhus, for whoever has sati applied to the body developed and cultivated, all wholesome dhammas belonging to knowledge are contained within it."

When this one dhamma, bhikkhus, is developed and cultivated, the body is also tranquilized, the mind [citta] is also tranquilized, thoughts [vitakka] and examinations [vicara] also subside, and all dhammas belonging to knowledge reach fulfillment in development [bhāvanā]."
