1.1“Ajjhattikaṁ, bhikkhave, aṅganti karitvā nāññaṁ ekaṅgampi samanupassāmi yaṁ evaṁ mahato anatthāya saṁvattati yathayidaṁ, bhikkhave, pamādo.

"Taking internal factors into account, bhikkhus, I do not see even a single factor that leads to such great harm as this, bhikkhus: heedlessness.

1.2Pamādo, bhikkhave, mahato anatthāya saṁvattatī”ti.

Heedlessness, bhikkhus, leads to great harm."

1.2Anuyogo, bhikkhave, akusalānaṁ dhammānaṁ, ananuyogo kusalānaṁ dhammānaṁ mahato anatthāya saṁvattatī”ti.

The pursuit of unwholesome dhammas and the non-pursuit of wholesome dhammas, bhikkhus, leads to great harm."
